The Compton Heights Concert Band opens the season with a Kazoo-Bang! Rick Hubbard, Kazoobie, is the featured guest artist. Everyone will receive a Kazoo. Rick will teach you how to kazoo and you'll be kazooing along with the Band! We're going for a Guiness World Record for the largest kazoo ensemble. Make it a Kazoobie-4th!

The always exciting July 4th Tribute concert also features a super patriotic program! Beverly Stewart-Anderson, soprano, is the featured guest soloist! She sang with the Band in "Porgy & Bess" and has a stunning voice.

As is the tradition, the evening concludes with a spectacular performance of Tchaikovsky's Overture 1812 including a battery of authentic Civil War Cannons letting loose a salvo of cannon fire coordinated with the Band's final measures of this dramatic composition, What a way to celebrate America's Birthday! Compton Heights Concert Band with
Guest Artists: Gail & Bill Lennon with Mike Cathcart
Gail Lennon was one of L.A.’s top session singers when she moved to Branson in 1994 as the lead singer and musical director of the award-winning Lennon Brothers Swing Music Show. With the Lennon Brothers and with her own band, the Buzz Boyz, Gail’s vocals have amazed and charmed her audiences. Sunny Spencer of the Sons of the Pioneers said, “She’s my favorite singer in the whole world!”

Mike Cathcart is among Branson’s most respected musical artists; one of it’s very best vocalists and a unique talent on the piano, guitar and chromatic harmonica. Mike’s mother is Peggy Lennon of the Lennon Sisters and his father, Dick Cathcart, was both a great jazz trumpeter and a singing member of The Modernaires. Mike has performed throughout the world; recently as a duo with Andy Williams at the Royal Albert Hall in London. Andy says, “Mike Cathcart is the best singer I know!”
